How much are you willing to pay for a dog? If you are like most animal lovers, perhaps you have rescued your furry friend from an animal shelter for a small price. But, if you are like a Chinese coal industrialist, paying $1.5 million dollars for this rare red Tibetan Mastiff is like spending pennies on a fury friend!
The Tibetan Mastiff named Hong Dong (translates to Big Splash in English) is from the breed of the most respected dogs in the world. The dogs are very special to Tibetan history because they are said to have guarded monasteries and nomad camps. The dogs are considered to be holy and they provide their owners with blessings of healthy and security.
Hong Dong was bred to be at the top of the Mastiff food chain as he was fed on a diet of solely beef, chicken, abalone, and sea cucumber. If Hong Dong's new owner decides to use him as a stud, he is guaranteed an even bigger payout on the litter!
